The Seminar was organized by Gujarat Agricultural University- Junagadh, Animal Husbandry, Government of Gujarat, and Kathiawadi and Marwari Horse Breeders Society Gondal.

The Seminar was held to standardize the breed characteristics of Kathiawadi horse, though these were mentioned as early as 1870 published in Bombay Gazette.

 

Col. Umaid Singh, Hony. Secretary, All India Marwari Horse Society and Shri Gajendra Pal Singh Posana Joint Secretary attended the seminar and highlighted the differentiation between Marwari and Kathiawadi Horse. Shri Gajendra Pal Singh Posana was invited by Director Animal Husbandry Punjab to Judge the Marwari Horse Classes in the horse show at Mukatsar. He was also invited by the Gujarat Equestrian Association to Judge Marwari Horse Class Judging at Anand Horse Show Gujarat.
